Our kids may be growing up but they still like carving pumpkins. We lucked out the weekend prior to Halloween and were able to carve outside. We all did our own thing and I think they turned out pretty cool. Mark was the only one who used a template. The rest of us just winged it. We had a lot of fun being creative.
???? I think you're asking how we carved with the skin gone? We used a wide peeler to peel the skin off and then used Annabelle's clay working tools, some of Scott's wood carving tools and my apple decorer to carve the rest of the shapes. We had to be creative because I did not want to invest in pumpkin carving tools. We watched a lot of Halloween Challenges on Food network and was inspired to carve our pumpkins. I must say it was way harder than we thought it would be. ;p
