Kick'n back

Annabelle started her fall soccer season. We have no problem finding her team mates this year. The color "watermelon" is quite the color! Finding Annabelle is easy too, she's usually the tallest one on the field. Annabelle loves playing defense and can kick a pretty mean ball. It's so funny, for a quick moving game these pictures show a lot of standing around?!?? This is a fun league and not for competition which makes it low stress and fun to watch the girls actually learn the sport.

After the game, Annabelle was working on teaching Mojo a few tricks. It's amazing what a dog will do for praise and treats. Or if you put a hula hoop in front of the door! Mojo's favorite game still is catching tennis balls bounced off the rock wall of the swing set. He's starting to catch more and more. Who know's we may have a circus act in the family!

"Mojo sit". "Mojo, come". "No, Mojo". "Staayayay, Mojo". "Good boy, Mojo!" These are the words we hear at our house these days! We are enjoying our newest addition to the family. We like to think Mojo is enjoying being part of our family too. He's really a lot of fun to play with. He loves the tennis balls outside. We've been bouncing them off the rock wall on our swingset and he's been starting to catch the ball from the air with his mouth!

Mojo likes to play hide and seek with the kids too. Annabelle really like this game with Mojo. Mojo is a great dog. We feel really lucky to have him. We are so glad we got our Mojo!!!

It's a boy!!!

Our newest member of the family. Mojo, a 7 month old German Shepherd! Yes, he's big already... imagine how big he will be when he's full grown. We were approved for the adoption today and he will be delivered to our home tomorrow!! Now, that's what I call service from a pet rescue center. His current foster mom, Mindy, drove 50 miles for us to have a visit and we were so thankful. His name is Gatsby at the shelter, but since he's only had that name for two weeks, we thought why not see just how smart this breed is and change is name again!??!!

We through out a couple of names before we even found the dog. We liked Potter, Indy, and Shep. But once we heard Scott do his impersonation of Austin Powers saying "Gikky, my Mojo's gone"! We had to go with it. Besides, Mojo sounds really cool. We are all very excited about getting the dog. Annabelle especially. She has wanted a dog for more than a year now.

Let's hope all goes well with the adjustment to our home. Let's also hope I don't go crazy with dog hair in my house. I keep telling my self, it's just a house, we must live here too so that it's a home. Mojo was so cute and sweet, that I didn't care to much about the hair once I met him.
